Waw... you actually found my site ;) I agree, it has 'podfaded' mainly due to lack of time. To answer your question, yes you could create a killer app out of this now, with the gps features and stuff like that on the iPhone. But the truth is, nobody actually bothers creating this stuff on holiday or on travels because, well, they're travelling ;) It also poses a technological gap that still isn't that easy for a lot of people to cross. I am glad you like the idea btw. I coined the term in 2004/2005 and it has been used allover now. Just google it and you'll find some companies still creating PodGuides (but on a commercial base though).
